The plastic hinge cover is only on one side as this cover has the cables in it for the boot lid electrics. I have taken out the 6 cd changer fro...

Scrapping N reg Executive.
I will shortly be scrapping my executive with a full black leather interior with electric memory seats in very good condition. The only thing wrong with the interior is the drivers seat swivelling armrest which has part of the plastic fitting that is in the side of the seat broken. The armrest still...

D8 immobiliser loom
Hi, I have a broken loom at the immobiliser keypad connection. Two of the wires have broken and shorted out on each other causing quite a lot of smoke inside the car.!!!!! I spent over 2 hours trying to fix it at work and the car is stranded there. Is the loom to the immobiliser replaceble? Any help...

Re: Cabin Blower
I have taken the fan motor out and the module is inside the motor. I have tested the module and it appears to be US.There is a coil winding with a sprung loaded copper contact (don't know the technical term) on the underside of the module.I have tie wrapped the contact together so that I now have fu...

Re: Cabin Blower
Hi jasper5,
yes you are right,I can still check if power is getting to the motor or module.
There are new modules which fit inside the motor on ebay for around £40.
Many thanks again.

Re: Cabin Blower
hI jasper5,
i believe that according to the Haynes manual for my car the blower control module is inside the body of the motor.
I think that I will have to try another module or motor in place to see if that cures it.
Many thanks for your reply.

Re: Cabin Blower
Thanks for the replies jasper5 and dogslife. I took a look at the wiring a bit earlier and am having some difficulty determining which wires are in and which are out of the control module. (I assume that the control module is built into the motor, N registration P8 ?) I can see a thick black and a t...

Cabin Blower
Help, I posted a while ago saying that I thought that I had sorted my blower.Unfortunately it was not so and I have a blower that only works about 50% of the time. It quite often doesn't work in the mornings when I am going to work and with all this ice and snow it is not good and could be dangerous...

Re: Cabin blower motor stuck on full
Success! I have not had my blower working for most of Christmas and the new year and also the past week of sub zero temperatures going to work and back. Not the best! I have just got mine working. I checked the thick red wire and spade as suggested but this was in perfect condition. I unplugged the ...

Re: Cabin blower motor stuck on full
Thanks jasper5,
a lot of info there.
The blower works normally and all speeds are selectable when it is working.
I will run the checks that you have described.
Many thanks.
