Not see this yellow plug, but this is a 306 not a 406 so do you know if it still has one.
In-tank pump was lined up as it was before removal.
The fuel filter was changed in the early stages of this saga.

Re: HDI running problems
Had another play today. I've replaced the in-tank lift pump (note the 306 and 307 both use the same pump although the housing is different). It starts but cuts out a few seconds later. Code reader (MaxiDiag FR704) said intermittent fault. Diesel high pressure monitoring function. Diesel high pressur...

Re: HDI running problems
Well that didn't last long, it's done about 20 miles and the MIL light came on once started and was in limp home mode. On the way home it cut out twice. Codes read, po230 (low pressure system) it's also showing "intermittent fault. fuel pressure regulation fault. stop requested but requlator (yes it...

Re: HDI running problems
It's fixed :D I pulled the in-tank pump out again and noticed a bit of plastic inside the tank, on closer inspection it's part of the lift pump housing, it clips in and guides the returning fuel into the center of the housing. This must have fallen off when I replaced the pump after checking the str...

Re: HDI running problems
The code reader hasn't been sent yet as his car has died so he needs it right now. In the mean time I've done a leekoff test and these are the results No1 45ml No2 55ml No3 60ml No4 50ml this was while idling for 10 mins These are fairley accurate but not spot on as my measuring cylinder only reads ...

Re: Threads looking for remaps.
I figured this would be a good place to ask so here goes, I'm thinking about a remap from HDItuning, I know they have a good name on here. What I'd like to know is can the same map be used for both my wife's 406 HDI 90 (99) and my daughters 306 HDI 90 (01) ? It would be handy if I could do this as I...

Re: HOW MANY MILES HAS YOUR PUG COVERED?
My wifes 2.1td covered 198K (100K on my home made biodiesel), sadly it's now been scrapped due to a buldup of faults and a replacement 2L HDI for the right price.Rolebama wrote:1998 2.1 TD just turned 99,000. Previous MOT history supports this.

HDI running problems
Hi all. I've not been on here for a good while but need some help. I'm having problems with my daughters 306 HDI (2001) with Bosch fuel system, it started off cutting out and going into limp home mode. the codes were read and it was showing P1521 clutch sensor P1138 fuel pressure regulator P1121 fue...

Re: replacement epic diesel pump
They're not coded, the ecu is coded to the emobaliser but the pump is not coded to the ECU. It's not that hard a job to do, you don't even need to remove the cambelt. Start by removing the cambelt cover (the one at the pump) turn the engine by hand until you can lock the sprocket in place with two M...

Re: 406 (d9) 2l hdi tune up
Hi all,
not been on for a good while but I've recently replaced the wifes old 2.1 for an HDI 90 (1999) and found this thread while looking for something else,
anyway, are there any updates on this mod ?
Does it have any drawbacks ?

Re: My 98 2.1TD Executive
The 2.1 can sometimes get away with a cambelt snapping, It will genrally just snap the rockers and leave the cam in one pice.
whip the cam cover off and have a look, just remember if the valves have gone it's an engine out job to get the head off.
