Re: CP's 405 Progress Blog (Pic Heaavvvyyy)

Now for another weekly update on the 405, you's are prb sick of them by now  Got a day off work this week so decided to go buy some more paint and finish up the rest of the bumpers. http://i197.photobucket.com/albums/aa94/Gergy107/Fixing%20a%20405/2012-05-31-050.jpg http://i197.photobucket.com/...

Re: 405 T16 4x4

I think they had an overdrive system which briefly gave you around 250bhp :D You've got to think that back in the early 90's that was fairly epic performance, even by todays standards it'd outrun most things 8)

Re: D8 or D9

Your bonnet has went the same way mine did, but the front bumper is a real surprise, someone must have enjoyed tailgating the gritter lorry

It should be a gd awl work horse for you and the 110bhp should give you a bit of poke to :D

Re: CP's 405 Progress Blog (Pic Heaavvvyyy)

Well another week or so has past since my last update and progress continues :D The replacement fog light arrived in the post and was promptly fitted into the cowling and screwed back into the bumper, the 405 now has working front fogs for probably the first time in years :) at some stage I'll repla...

Re: Do you exercise?

I work in the fitness industry so I've got to stay fit, though lately I've been slipping, just don't seem to have the time to actually train. I try to go running a couple of times a week, about 5 miles or so and go to the gym once. I like mixing it up to keep myself interested, like instead of doing...

Re: 301

Also IMHO Peugeot has to bring its image back where it was some years ago. They should build a limited-edition 25-30k£ Atom-like (sub 500kg, 1.6LVTi 200hp engine) two seater and sell it as the "001". Just for competitions, but road legal. If Ariel can do it, why not Peugeot? It'd raise Pe...

Haven't seen any infinities over here yet but I did get a run in a G37 when I was in Canada a couple of years ago, sounded awesome and went like sh*te off a shovel :D

Re: new pug mods please

I feel the best way to go with the modern cars/engines is what most pro tuners like the K-tec Renault guys are doing. The trend seems to be to retain the original engine, uprate its internals, slap on a MASSIVEEEE turbo and play with the engine management. I was reading about K-tec's Clio 182 trial ...

Re: 301

It's a little bit square, especially at the back but I quite like it overall, sort of reminds me of the 306 sedan. I'm guessing that's part of the reason why they aren't offering it here, many modern folk prefer the versatility of a hatchback rather than a rear lid these days. Must say the interior ...

Re: Today I saw my first....

Within the last week I've seen a Delorean, a Lambo Gallardo, an Audi Quattro and a 405 Executive. I can't help but stare at rare cars and I make it blatantly obvious, often giving the owners a thumbs up if they spot me staring

Re: Good fuel economy

Yeah I'm still amazed that an old 405 1.9 Turbo diesel saloon car is more economical to run than my newer 106 1.1 hatchback. It just goes to show  Nope, that all works out FarmerPug, that's REALLY good going :D Emm I wouldn't think it'd be good for the lift pump, it needs the diesel to lubricat...

Re: Good fuel economy

I've been taking an average since I got the 405 as I don't have one of these new-fangled trip computer thingys. I ran it to what I considered was dangerously low levels, needle consistently at the bottom of the lowest mark on the gauge. Each time I fill up I keep a note of the amount of litres I've ...
