Changes are here now Loz......... My bottom ball joint failed simply because it had a tiny tiny split in the rubber, there was no play in the joint at all mate.

Spoke to traffic cop at work yesterday & aparently the new MOT changes are in force now..........he hasn't heard of MOT stations giving them as advisory for first 3 months. I think we are gonna struggle a bit with our older motas boys.

Well i spent a full day checking under my baby, trying to find any loose bits & pieces. I changed a couple of tyres & replaced both front drop links as they were knocking slightly. I have just fixed my drivers switch.........same sort of problem, window goes up or down like it has a mind of its own. I simply took switch out of door pannel, opened up casing and sprayed the lot with copiuos ammounts of silicone spray. Works perfectly now. Thanks you lot for the piccies which hel...

Windscreen Wipers??? im confused.
Is it just me or are D8 wiper arms designed so that you cant raise them off the screen? (most cars you can bend the arms so that you can clean & polish the screen) but my bonnet seems to be in the way and i cant raise the wiper arms any more than a few inches from the screen.

Eventually needed to replace hub which was a real real pain in the bum but now its sorted.

Thanx Trem but its the threaded part of the bolt which has snapped within the threaded part of the hub.

I have managed to snap one of my front wheel bolts whilst tightening it up. It does not protrude from the back of the hub & has snapped clean off with the front face of the hub so theirs no way of getting it out. im going to try & get hold of either a door or boot lock that comes with a key, then at least when my remote wont work i will still be able to open the car. Im realy fed up with this now. Does anyone have a spare lock & key for sale?????????????

Haha......you know Steve i hadnt thought of that.....i do have some dodgy neighbors but car is kept in garage so don't think they will have had a chance to get the old glue out. Im gonna take boot lock out today & see wot i can do with it, will keep you posted thanx mate.

Steve, its stuck solid mate, i know wot you mean by spinning around however these locks are absolutely solid & wont turn at all?

Well im frustrated as owt with this one. My central locking works fine with the remote however the key will not turn any of the door or boot locks. I know that the key & locks are original & have not been changed as my mate bought the car new & then sold it to me 10 years later, V reg 406 HDi. I rec...
