yeah i suppose if you allow yourself enough time you could do it. I dont thin i have the self confidence to even attempt something like that tho lol. knowing me id make it worse :P!

:P! i suppose you could do your own if you compentent enough to do it, i only got mine done because im not that high tech with car mechanics:P. i can do most things just not splitting of the gearbox :D.

thanks man. cant belive the amount of difference in the car tho after. Well worth the money.. .which reminds me.. charged me £424 for the lot.

YAYYYYY!! got my car back tonight and is like a new car :D!. asked to keep my old clutch to look at and hadnt only worn down to the rivets... id worn the actually rivets down LOL!.

lol. cant actaully wait to get the car back now tbh and has only gone in tonight :P. being done thursday and should have it back that night :). I'll have a word with them about the crank oil seal and see how much it'll cost tbh tho it shouldnt cost much i wouldnt of thought?

Right. Phoned garage up and they quoted me £479 to have everything done. Clutch kit, cable, gearbox oil and the labour. This includes everything to do be done that invloves the clutch (flywheel, bearings, Etc)... and is being done thursday so got tractor from work as transport LOL! :P. So happy to f...

hey, just wondering. ive taken the decision to replace the clutch and keep the car instead of selling it and loosing a really good car again. anyway what i need to know is, How much roughly am i looking at to get the clutch and cable done?

yeah there was a green piece you take off once everythings connected and i did but it didnt seem to adjust :S

:(. yeah the cable was really tight to get on. had to sort of manually derpress the clutch with a screwdriver :P to get it on. and theres no slack anymore. no play in the pedal. i was really hoping you wasnt gonna say that :(. Thanks for that mjb. *psst anyone wanna buy a 406 :roll: *

Hi there. Ive just changed my clutch cable as my old one as garage said that was my cars problem for clutch slipping only now after changing my cable for this new one its slipping more than ever in 3rd,4th,5th????. what i need to know is... is this normal as it needs to stretch a bit?? or is it anot...

tbh... on a diesel is really sh*t. *chugga chugga chugga chugga tissss*. But still what ever floats your boat i suppose. It's the same with the tubby - despite being petrol it only revs to 4000rpm :shock: :O really? still.... i aint a fan of dump valves on diesels their really just not the same :P

think ive only once hit something and that was a pheasent with my laguna estate before i had the 406. All that needed was a new front fog light cover but couldnt be assed to sort it lol! 2 years down the line and still like that.
