Could someone with access to the pug parts...
Do me a favour please? a while ago I bought some braided hoses from goodridge for my 406 v6 saloon, but the front ones didn't fit, they had the wrong connector the caliper end. So I'm just wondering if they might fit the 607 HDi i've got now. Could some kind and lovely person check the part/details ...

Bit of advice needed....possible dealer f*ckup
Hi All, I had the radiator swapped out by a not-so-local dealer last week, picked up the car on friday. Now i've not had any workmanship issues with these guys before which i why i go a bit further than my local one to have them do bits for me. But, having picked up the car late friday after a 5 hou...

Re: Slightly unusual question (about a 607!)
Yeah he has a 2007 HDi 170, I have a 2003 HDi 136 (Difference in low end power is amazing by the way!) I thought about it logically and looked at the distance between the outside edge of the disc and the caliper and there's no way i'd fit anything bigger in there, i asked the supplier to look into i...

Re: Slightly unusual question (about a 607!)
305mm hmm!! The plot thickens.... Here is the info I'm going on, for the brakes: http://www.motorsportworld.co.uk/search5.asp?make=PEUGEOT&model=607&year=2003&ProdGroup=Brakes&ProdSubGroup=Discs&ProdType=Front&ProdSubType=Grooved I was looking at the Nitrac 8 Groove disks As you can see they list th...

Re: Slightly unusual question (about a 607!)
hmmmmm! Perhaps my eyes deceive me and they are not 309mm, but they look huge compared to mine. He has the 607 170bhp, unfortunately it's not here at the moment so I can't take a picture, but I will this evening! Also, there's about as much chance of me taking the brakes off his car to try on mine a...

Re: Slightly unusual question (about a 607!)
Hmm, that's odd. The caliper on my dads is nothing like the one on the 406 coupe I know to be the Brembo, it just looks like a normal standard caliper!

Slightly unusual question (about a 607!)
Hi All, I'm hoping someone might have stumbled upon this info on their travels, unlikely but, you don't ask, you don't get! My 607 has the 283mm front discs, my dad has the 309mm front discs, I see that the Black Diamond Pad for them both seems to be the same part, so any idea if it would be possibl...

Re: Cabin / Pollen Filter on a....607!
Thanks MJB, I'll try and work out how to get the plastic fascia thing off without breaking it and give it a go at the weekend. I paid 3000 for it, with 40k on the clock, bought it off my dad who got another 607 to replace it with. My dad got a 57 plate 607 HDi 170 Executive with delivery miles on it...

Cabin / Pollen Filter on a....607!
Hi Guys, I recently got an 03 plate 2.2 HDI 607 to soak up the miles, trying to save my 406 V6 a bit and I'm really struggling to find the pollen filter! I've read a few things on 407s on the net, having their filters under a cover in the passenger footwell. I've looked there on the 607 and it's jus...

Re: Do I have an ignition system problem?
I figured that would be the gasket, it was about £11 I think!
If I take the inlet off again to change the coils, do I need to replace that gasket again?

Re: Do I have an ignition system problem?
Haha. Yes, I completely agree, peugeot seem to be, on the whole complete idiots! Not only did they charge for 6 litres of oil + 1 litre top up at a cost of £70 last service, this time they tried to charge me for 8 sparkplugs!! The lady I complained to said atleast 3 people would have seen the invoic...

Do I have an ignition system problem?
Hi Guys, Couple of weeks back my number 3 cylinder started misfiring. Turns out it was a dead/faulty coil. Saturday morning I had another coil go, this time it was cylinder 1. I got another replacement from peugeot and fitted that today, but in the process of diagnosing the fault, I put the coil fro...

Re: Torque Numbers/Figures
Well I'm a bit of a noob so please forgive my poor grasp on technical lingo... I've got a misfire on what I believe to be cylinder 3 - (This is assuming the 3rd cylinder is the same on the old v6 and the mechanic who did the plugso n that one marked them up right. He marked the left hand cylinder as...

Torque Numbers/Figures
Hi,
Can anyone recomend me a book or location to find various torque settings for things like spark plugs etc? I've got a MkII V6 if that makes any difference!
