I'm having problems with the drivers seat control switch on my 406 and need to remove the switch to access the wiring, can anyone tell me how to remove the switch from the seat?

The drivers window on my D8 406 has an intermittent problem when closing where it reopens itself fully as if it has sensed an obstruction. This is particularly anoying when its raining and you suddenly get your face wet.
Anyone come across this or know of a fix?

Getting prepared for the winter & find my heated front seats aren't working.
I have power at the seat connection plug when the switch is operated and an earth at the other wire but no heat. Any ideas?

Travis - what treatment did you use & is everything still running quietly?

Got an intermittent tapping noise from my 2.1td engine, sounds a bit like tappets. I'm thinking it may be at least one of the hydraulic tappets sticking. has anyone any experience of this or how to replace the tappets?
