Re: a couple of niggles
My Parants 306 had problems starting and that was the fuel lift pump
I assume you listen for it when you turn the ignition on (with the backseats lifted)
Also i think the oil pressure sensor is screwed into the block under the fuel filter. You
can just see it throgh a small gap

Re: d9 aircon dead
The temp sensor I am talking about is the water temp which is used for the temp gauge on the dash and ECU
Its on the side of the thermostat housing above the gearbox. Removing the airfilter helps to see it
A green sensor with two wires

Re: d9 aircon dead
Worth checking your temp gauge is working, the aircon uses this to decide to engage,
If not then temp sender is faulty or plugs under drivers carpet maybe corroded

Re: Diesel temp sensor fault
Sensor is about a tenner, just below termostat housing and green connector, just a small circlip holds it in.
I changed mine as the gauge stopped working but didn't
seem to help problem. Driving in downpour seem to fix problem !

Re: 406 2001 110HDI Temp Gauge
Temp gauge now started working after a drive in very wet conditions yesterday morning, don't understand but air conditioning has also now started working. I think there must be a connection with the sensor and the A/C control unit. If anyone has any thoughts I would be interested to hear. I didn't t...

Re: 406 2001 110HDI Temp Gauge
Changed temp sender still no luck,
Does anyone know if the temp gauge actually runs from ECU as there is only one sender ?
Can I reset faults on system without a diagnostic device or main dealer, i.e by disconnecting battery ?

Re: 406 2001 110HDI Temp Gauge
Thanks for that, I'll give up looking for a second sensor and
replace the one I've found which sounds like the one you replaced.
Useful tip about the wife !

406 2001 110HDI Temp Gauge
Hi, I've got a problem with the Temp gauge on the dash, it looks like it may be the temp sender but I am confused about its location. the Haynes manual says its got a single blue wire into it, The only bits I can find is a sensor on the end of the engine above the gear box near the thermostat housin...
