its not had injectors since ive had it going to give it a run up the m4 later see if that makes a differance

hi, my pug has a problem, :shock: from cold it refuses to start with out a fight then when it fires up its dies stright away with foot on accelorator, do it again after lots of turns it fires up lots of black smoke and like its missing, rev it and it clears it self, its as if the glow plugs not work...

squirt a lot of wd40 into the lock. use a straw on a tin of wd and push it in then spray ... the pins inside sometimes stick making it spin round and round 8) yeah just done that last night seems ok last night see what its like when i see the car again when the wife brings it home,lol just seemed o...

door locks 406 r reg
can someone tell me whats going on?
the front door locks on the out side where you put the key in to some times they work and then they just go round in circles as if the key has not hooked on to any thing,both sides, was looking at a pic on google they looks all electric,

well that was a wast of time,jacked it up,removed wheel,found filler plug( 22") spanner on it removed plug,only to find cant get bottle of oil to it steering rack in way, looks like reverse light switch removal,

so what oil goes in my manual gear box?
pug 406 5 speed manual on an R reg, i have a litre of 80W/90GL-5, would this be ok,i recon any oil is better than none,

ok,when i replaced shoes the expander was very stiff and did not come apart after a bit of a grease up the expander come apart and was nice and loose so on they both went, on inspection last night (my fault :oops: ) i noticed a load of oil on shoes and drum (the coating of oil when you buy new discs...

with a long bar on one of the studs/wheel nuts to tighten the wheels,i was tightening the wheel at the timesteve_earwig wrote:Is this by hand or driving along and yanking the handbrake on? If it's by hand I don't think it's going to cut the mustard I'm afraid.

have just done this (rubed them up on the inside of drums and shoes) will do cable tomorrow but not happy with the out come when i put the wheels on and tightened them the n/s still slips not a great deal but enough, i don`t know if that would be ok for mot test machine

well i dont think peugeot like me, :shock: :) adjusted hand brake went from 14% down to 11% and yes i did tighten it up then slacken it off ,i can understand it going up a little then fail but down? have to pull off discs and rough up new shoes and drum readjust and then cable. think its down to new...
