Where I live and work most people just call it a pug as it seems to avoid this problem. However one foreign guy I onced worked with called it a " pee---oooh----geeee----ottt" that did always amuse me

cheers guys, and I know what your saying about threads only being here as a solution etc etc. The mechanic did the MOT even said it drove beautifully and he liked it as much as his Landy sport. So yeah a cracking little car

Yeah, but the OP said that the radio was on when the key wasn't in the ignition, hence both power sources will be on permenant live. Quite why the new stereo's not remembering the settings is a tad confusing. i read it that he was referring to the original head unit being able to work without ignit...

well i've spent most of the weekend working on it, the front drivers side ball joint was fooked so thats replaced. i've checked the usuals so hopefully it should be fine,

only slept in a car once and that was in a ka....that was uncomfortable. but the way is see it is that if i'm that pished and there's a comfy matress in the back of the car, i'll conk straight out, happy days

ye i'll get sorted all right lol the bonnet needed a spray anyway it was ful of stone chips so im kinda glad she did it, only thing i aint glad she did was dent the bonnet in 6 places. that needs replacing 8) yup same here mate if it passes its test tomorrow i'll be throwing some more money at it f...
