Cheers Dogslife.
Overall, the bits are €12 (about £10) less over here, so I think I'll be doing some shopping this weekend...

They're in my original message, but considering the time of your reply, you may have missed them...dogslife wrote:I'll look them up for you, if you give us the numbers, (180933 is £13.16 inc vat).

Re: Part Number Required
Thanks to both of you - it is indeed a 2.2Hdi.
Always wondered what the proper name for the colour was - now I know.
While I'm on the case, anyone know what the equivalent prices are in the UK for 3 parts I need to buy here in France...?

Part Number Required
Evening all I need some help confirming a part number for my 406 on Servicebox. Chassis number - VF38E4HXFxxxxxxxx I THINK I'm looking for part number 1809.33 - bottom engine mount rubber. I've already found the left and right hand side part numbers (1827.16 and 1844.82) and can buy the 2 here in Fr...

Re: Wobbly Engine at high revs
Yeah - their garage is bloody huge - it's got 8 bays and there must be at least 20 mechanics on site - mind you every third car here is a Pug...Welly wrote:Wow! how cool is that

Re: Wobbly Engine at high revs
Thanks for all your replies Chaps.
Got it booked into the Pug dealer in Cognac next week (who did all the previous bottom pulley/DMF stuff) for a diagnosis - they have a rolling road and said they can run it up to 150kph (95mph) if necessary.

Wobbly Engine at high revs
Hello again I drove my 406 2.2Hdi the other day at around 85-90mph (very quiet roads here in France...) and notice that immediately after this short burst at speed the engine felt as if it was 'wobbling'. The effect last for for several minutes and only seemed to disappear after I slowed down to aro...

Tyre Sizes
What difference will it make to handling/wear etc if I swap my current Avon ZV3 205/60/R15's for 195/65/R15's?
Seems silly I know but I need 3 new ones and the 195/65's are cheaper so I'm thinking about biting the bullet and getting 5 which would save £80 on 5 tyres...

Can anyone recommend a reliable site to order parts from. I need a set of ARB bushes and possibly need to replace tracking control arms/suspension bushes on a 406 2.2HDi Estate (2001 model). I'm in France and the prices here are bonkers, but I'll be back in the UK at the start of September so I can ...

Re: DMF on the way out...??
£650's good for a replacement FAPPY system, especially at the dealers. Bloody hell - something that's cheaper in France than in the UK... Nice little story there too, I bet you're soooo glad to be out of this country. Oh god, yes... We work far too hard over here, and for what? The froggies have it...

Re: DMF on the way out...??
Hi Dogslife - good surfing in Biarritz if you're into that sort of thing... The same Pug dealer charged me €770 (about €650) for the whole 9 yards - entirely new system. They even included a new back box for the exhaust as the old one had started to rot where it coupled to the particle filter. Just ...

Re: DMF on the way out...??
Forgot to add - got it sorted at the local Pug dealer yesterday - bottom pulley and drive belt replaced - €360 all in (about £300) Bit steep but the car sounds a million times better and goes like a rocket now. Just another quick question - what are all your thoughts on retread tyres. I've found 4 r...
