406 HDI 110 Executive Estate
About a year ago we brought our Border Collie puppy home from Derby and as he had been fed before the journey he was very sick and distressed all the way home. Since then he refuses to get into the car and if forced he becomes very distressed. It is very frustrating as he loves to travel by car so l...

Brake warning light & speedo failure
Hi, yesterday morning when i started my X reg HDi i had the bleep and the brake fluid level low warning on the display. I thought it was the handbrake switch playing up again but noticed the Red brake warning light on the dash was lit up. When i set off i noticed the speedo is not working but when i...

Four wheel alignment
Today i took my 2000 HDi for tracking as the rear tyres are wearing badly on the inside. They were so far out they did'nt register on the guage. Two new control arms were supposed to have been fitted by a main dealer a few months before i bought the car about 18000 miles ago but i have my doubts. Th...

I had the same problem on my estate and it was the sunroof drain pipe blocked. Remove the grab handle, the windscreen trim panel, pull off the door seal and pull the roof lining down. You will then see the rubber drain tube. I pulled mine of and just blowing down it cleared it. No more leaks. Hope t...

Yesterday i had a new compressor fitted and now the aircon is working A1. The problem is when i put it on auto regardless of the temperature setting the fans come on at full blast blowing hot air and that is how it stays. From reading previous posts and the aircon fitter i assume its the sensor near...

HDi Fuel filter
Hi, i tried to change the fuel filter on my 2000 HDi 110 today but failed miserably. I assume the top is removed by turning it anti clockwise but it refuses to move in any direction. As the filter housing is plastic i thought i would ask for advice before resorting to brute force and risk breaking s...
