The car is with them now. Getting the fuel tank replaced.

Strangly & typically of electrical problems it's stopped with the errors.

Re: Pug has thrown a hissy fit

Its got worse due the intank sendor/pump threads have been butchered before the new one was fitted. The that and the fact the o-ring is now contanstly saturated in Diesel wasnt helping its sealing properties (or lack off) I wish we had our Laptop with el' cheapo ELM323 as it would point us in the ri...

Power steering pump

So, the misses rings me last Wednesday to say she was driving the 90HDi 406 Estate (W Reg) at about 40-50mph and it suddenly lurched forward and started making a bad rattling sound. My first thoughts where the Crank shaft pulley has finally given up the ghost. We took it to our local garage and he s...

Re: My Golf Gti 8v

Holy sh*t thats a steel for 620 notes. Not many looking like that anymore especially 3 door and on original BBS's. Great find. Thanks, only a small bit of rust behind the number plate too. The rest is just the odd cosmetic dink/scratch but nothing you would not expect for a 20 year old car. Those B...

Re: My Golf Gti 8v

Ive been wanting something more basic and a project like car so since came on flea bay. Welly, won it f...

Weighed the Pug in

I've been looking around for new cars recently and inevitable it happened. When I bought the Peugeot the only problem areas was the front drop links and front brakes. 3 months in, the front spring snapped so I replaced that, along with ABS sensor etc. Pads and discs replaced. Shortly after December ...

Re: Aunty Pollution's come to stay

Ive only got a basic ELM323. But sometimes it wont connect because the COM Port is wrong (Unsure if Lexia uses this?) And the other, but you 'connect' turn the igntion off fully, then to Pos 2 and this will 're-engage' the BSI/ECU. As if its left in pos 2 for too long and then I try and connect, it ...

Coming from a Volvo background, I usually run on dipped beam as an old habbit.
