Re: Double din at top of centre console
Nicely nicely! In car PC then? I was after a 7" touchscreen to mount into the little cubby hole at the bottom of the dash and then put a SFF PC probably where the CD chanegr lives. You've done a good job there though and it looks quite good and factory fit (bar the colour match which you've address...

Real flat wiper blades (and arms)
A long time ago I fancied getting some flat blades for the car. I had a look at the retrofit ones and didn't like the big lump where they attach to the older style arm. I decided that I'd find or adapt arms to fit the car and got searching. I've measured numerous cars in the meantime (with some stra...

Double din at top of centre console
Thought you'd like to see what I've been up to recently and that it's actually a possibility if you really want to. The inspiration came from not owning a sat nav-unit and Halfords having a sale sometime during the Summer holidays on them. I didn't like what they had in the end, so I started looking...

Re: Torx bolts, front caliper
On the v6's with the Brembos the bolts are Tx55 and are tightened to 120Nm (or 90lb.ft), with some threadlock for good measure.
I can't imagine them being different on the other models.

Re: glovebox shroud
There's one more screw that's virtually impossible to undo, it's on the shroud's right and side (centre console side), over 3/4 of the way down. It's possible to break the plastic shroud where the screw is mounted. To re-fit, drill a small hole through the front of the shroud, a bit higher than wher...

Re: Over senistive ABS
It's possible to remove the broken ring, weld it and then fix it back onto the cv joint with some epoxy, obviously cleaning everything in the meantime. It's a shame that the manufacturers didn't seal the ring better, so that no rust would build up underneath it. I'm notsure whether adding some waxoy...
Re: Hello
Thanks for the welcome. I think that Hafod and Elim Peugeot were busy during the 406 era, there does seem to be a good few of them about. Grr is what some mates used to call me, they had difficulty with my real name, I didn't mind :) Blue406, I thought I recognised your usename. I'm sure that there ...
