unfortunately 406s have two lambda sensors,before and after the cat be prepared for your eng management light to be on all the time,and fail mot if tester spots it.

had my car lowered ,the rear springs are a bastard to replace,its officially a 4 hour job,most of the rear suspension has to be dismantled.thats with a qualified mechanic 30 years and all necessary tools/equipment.

almost positive both belts would be changed at the same time,only an extra 15 mins to the job,go for gates belts if you can (the best).
also motor factors give conflicting advice regarding pulleys/tensioners,take care.

i got timing belt & ancilliary belt replaced last year at arnold clark(vauxhall) i supplied the belts and the bill came to approx £150 inc vat with 3 month labour guarantee.most main dealers are 50-55 quid an hour ,bmw/merc/saab/honda 60-65 quid an hour,up in scotland anayway.you can check job times...
