Re: Fuel Gauge on a 2003 D9 (2.2 Hdi)

Several times the gauge on mine has moved a little way towards full when I have gone from city driving to country driving. It's as if the gauge is controlled by the computer, not by the tank sender, so that it shows the amount of fuel remaining based on the current manner of driving, not what is act...

Re: HOW MANY MILES HAS YOUR PUG COVERED?

I picked up a very nice 2003 406 HDI a few months ago with only 45000 kms (28000 miles) on it. My 1980 504 diesel has 301000 kms (188000 miles).

Re: outside temperature tomfoolery

Just found this thread as my '03 406 is reading about 10C too low. Can someone go through the steps of replacing the sensor, including removing the glass? Thanks.

"406" Badge

I'm sick of crowds gathering and saying "Well, I know it's a Peugeot but what model?" :cheesy: How does a new badge attach? Is it glued on or pins-thru-hole...

Gear Ratios

Can someone tell me the gearbox ratios and final drive ratio of a '97 406 sedan (XU10, BE3)?
Car is Australian spec if that makes a difference.

Thanks.
Stephen

Re: Welcome to the 406 owners club!!

Hi. I'm a long-time Peugeot owner, still driving the 504 GLD diesel that I bought new in 1981. Last weekend I picked up a '97 406 ST manual petrol (2l 16v) sedan with 165,000 kms and in excellent condition. I would have preferred a diesel but they are less common and much more expensive, although if...
