Viewing the details for a car on the VCar register?

I'm going to have a look at a 52reg HDi estate this weekend but the advert just says "on vcar" so I was wondering if there was anywhere online I could say put in the reg and find out what the damage was maybe? :?: :?: I understand all about Cat A,B,C,D etc and that will be asked, but is it shown any...

Re: The 306 is in for a pre-mot today - fingers crossed..

Congrats on the pass, mine went thru hers the other day on a wing and a prayer but as long as they give you the sheet at the end of the day its a win! BTW, the oil guage should come on when you start the car, go over to full (hopefully!) for about 20seconds and then turn off until you start her up a...

Car Tax Question???

I'm going to look at a 406 Estate this weekend but was just wondering about taxing it. If I was to buy her she doesn't have any tax and although the dealer has offered to go and get the tax for me (at my expense of course!) if I buy it before the first of the month will I lose the whole of April's w...

D9 Dimensions

Just a quick request if I may, can anyone with a D9 handbook scan in the page with the dimensions of the car on it so I can compare and see what I'd be getting if I go look at one tomorrow. Its particularly the estate version that I'm after to work out what I'd gain over my 306 estate if I can get t...

Re: Will you forgive me, I've bought another car...

I did drive the 406 (well, had to move it around a bit) the other day and it did feel a bit loose and wobbly but it is 10 years old I suppose. I think generally because the 406 is based around the D8 from 1996 then cars have move on quite a bit since and drive quite differently - the Volvo certainl...

Yeah, there are plenty about but I would realy like an Exec model, just for the flash of it! So hopefuly the auotbox should stand up to the workload from a 2.0? Thats could mean a trip to the dealers this weekend ... 8) 8) 8)

Opinions on a D9 2litre Exec Auto

Looking hard now for a 406 Estate and have seen a D9 2.0 Executive which looks good but has an autobox, which is someting I've not really considered before. Are they any good or are there any known problems with them, the car has quite a few miles 120k+ so has lived a hard life and if they are prett...
