i have the multi changer in the boot and a tape player and would prefer to have the cd head unit as every time i want to change the discs i have to go into the boot,

wont be a straight swap as the 210 engine has alot more complex engine management systems(variable valve timimg)
but if you are prepaired to change alot of the wiring loom ect for an extra 14bhp good luck.

check in the boot behind the trim on the left hand side,well thats where my one is,see if there are any wires laying about

change the air filter then clean inside the throttle body and the idle step motor in the throttle housing ,

have you disconected the battery recently? i only ask this because my battery went flat a couple of weeks ago
and i have the same symptoms,but believe it will sort itself out because the ECU has reset its self to factory settings,you need to do a few miles
for it to sort itself out

you say you took the plugs out,did it run any better when you put them back in.
check the breather pipe on the right hand side of the rocker cover hasnt split and is leaking vapourized oil.
a pic of the 2 holes would help
