Re: Water in my 1996 406 pls help!

the lift pump under the seats has a plastic "top" thing on it with two pipes that need disconnecting. undo the plastic "top" you may need to GENTLY tap with a screwdriver to get it started. this unscrews and the whole pump unit comes out allowing a hose to be used for syphoning. Man i cranked the en...

Re: Water in my 1996 406 pls help!

Remove back seat remove lift pump and syphon out there is another way but its risky with a petrol so im not mentioning that. ithink it will have auntysyphon so no use trying getting pipe down neck of tank, (how about removing filler neck off tank and sending apipe in that way ??) thats exactly how ...

Re: Water in my 1996 406 pls help!

realistically i would think the tank has got to be dropped and emptied. syphoning is good for removing the bulk of any liquid in there but you don't want ANY water being left in the tank once emptied i'd also be inclined to leave it a couple of days to fully evaporate and pray that turning the engin...

Re: Central heating.

Combi boilers don't need the tanks so they will go. combi works by heating the water as you use it so as soon as a hot tao is on it will heat that water and when switched off so does the boiler. much more energy efficient . we currently have an old gas back boiler which is thirsty but while it works...

Re: Jaguar X type
