S'ok - found the plastic links and they seem ok. N/S/R tie rod appears to be the culprit regarding the clunking (I think) ... O/S/R seems fine, but I'll change the axle pair. The ARB D bushes could also do with being replaced. (Oddly enough the tie rods were ear-marked advisory's on the 2 previous M...

Heavy clunk from rear end!
Hi guys - newbie to the forum and hoping you canshed some light on my query?! I'm running a 2002 HDi 110 Rapier which is an absolute dream to drive ... until recently. Last year saw a whole heap of maintenance carried out mainly due to the mileage and the fact that I cover almost 20K miles each year...

Had the same issue when I had my timing belt (and water pump and aux belt) replaced ... well ... as it's all on the same side may as well hit all 3 in one go! Turned out the grease monkey had pulled a vacuum pipe off at the rear of the engine ... took the b*gger 6 days to sort it though!!!!!!!! :evil:
