Re: crank case pressure

Thanks for the nearly immediate response? I popped the cover off and have taken it on a 40 mile round trip to preston and give it a bit of a thrashing (as I would assume the pressure would max out) and you were right it hadnt moved and it must the the cover. I have looked at ebay for the lugs and ca...

crank case pressure

Hi Peugeot 406 hdi 2 litre 2002 plate 135k on clock! I have noticed that every now and again the dip stick is lifted slightly out of its holder and when taking the oil filler cap off there is a bit of blow. I am not sure whether the blow is what is to be expected and also not sure whether or not the...

Re: Drivers side 4 way electric window switches

Went to the scrappers today and he had 3 drivers door 4 way plus mirror switches. Bought all 3 for £5 as they didnt work on drivers window and he was going to chuck them and raided bits off each and made 2 from the 3. They work great and as per the previous post the only dodgy bit is separating the ...

Re: Lack of power 1.9TD Estate

Take your carpet mat out of drivers side and try it then. Sounds simple but I was moaning re my new 2nd hand 406 hdi 2litre and pulled my mat out of the way and it improved dramatically. The mat was stopping the last 1cm of downward movement and consequently wasnt getting full revs. It was worst on ...

Re: TURBO NOISE/FUEL CONSUMPTION

Well after doing a full service and replacing a filthy air filter I noticed a slight improvement but still not the power I would expect with the turbo kicking in between 80mph to 95mph?? Checked all the pipeworks (intercoooler etc) and no holes splits etc. Driving into work this morning and remember...
