Re: URGENT HANDBRAKE HELP NEEDED !!

Thanks Teamster1975, I will give that a try, it just doesn't seem possible when you are stretched out under the car.

Cheers

URGENT HANDBRAKE HELP NEEDED !!

Hi everyone. The primary handbrake cable has snapped on my 99 406 Estate. I am trying to remove the old cable but I'm stuck. I have removed the centre console (what a palarva) and disconnected at the back by the adjuster and removed the clips that secure the cable along under the car. But now I'm st...

Radio Reception Problem ??

The reception on my radio is very poor on all channels. In fact I can only get it to find 1 or 2 stations with a search. I did have a leak around the roof aerial but that has been removed and refitted and that has cured the leak. The garage said they cleaned up the contact area at the same time but ...

Re: Driving me mad !!

ha ha ha, I can see this is my kind of place to be.
Damn weather stopped me taking photos of my 406 today but I will as soon as possible.
Before I make a complete fool of myself, can I take it that 'Pug' simply means Peugeot?

Re: Driving me mad !!

Thanks for that. I love this forum. Everyone is so helpful and so far I haven't noticed any 'in fighting' like there is on so many other forums. I can't imagine that I'll ever be able to offer any insight on matters 406, but I'll try when I can. Is there somewhere to post pics of our rides coz it wo...

Re: Driving me mad !!

WOW what a great post. Thinking about it, I did jet wash the car earlier in the week. I will be out side checking for 'wet carpets' later today. Thanks for the reply. If I can't find any 'wet carpets' is it possibly a fault with the engine management gizmo thingy? ( you can tell I'm Technical can't ...

Driving me mad !!

Had my 406 GLX Estate now for just 3 weeks and by and large I love it. BUT. After a trip of about 30 odd miles in the rain a strange thing happened when I stopped the engine. The big STOP sign on the dashboard lit up and on the display panel it scrolled through several faults like ABS Fault, Oil Pre...

1999 406 GLX estate Clutch problem

Hi all. I've just bought my first 406 and I love it. It's a 1999 on a T, 2.0 GLX Estate. My only real concern at the moment is that it is difficult to pull away smoothly because the clutch feels juddery as I lift it. Once away it's fine and doesn't seem to be slipping. The release is quite near the ...
