... the noise never came back

Hmmm. Fuse pulling is a good idea, the noise is under the bonnet by the high pressure fuel pump, could even be the starter, its one of them noises that thows itself around I'm just waiting on someone shouting "it's behind you" lol

No the noise disappears when I disconnect the battery also no matter how long I leave it when I reconnect the battery the noise reappears

Hey all, I had a 80k hdi engine laying around the garage and the car 220k needed a clutch (following re-map) and a cambelt and a service all at the same time so I figured whilst its in bits I might Aswel throw the engine in. The 80k engine was from an auto and mines a manual and for the sake of anyo...

I have both engine cooling and heater blower, is it the engine fan your looking for?, I will take a picture of the pin when I get home (tues eve now, sorry) ;-)

New cable came today, got the data off the ecu just need to add a new map so it was a cable fault, thank u

I got the cables thru the post yesterday but was in Sutton CF until this afternoon, when I got back I nervously plugged in the connectors etc but it won't read the ecu :-( I get DATA READING Start data reading...errore data0 Any ideas I'm thinking I've got a dodgy cable, I also tried on the zafira m...

Just a note to finish this topic, Having left the auto locking function on in pp2000 on my 406 (simply because it wasnt working and I haven't plugged in pp2000 to turn it off), I disconnected the battery over the weekend, when I re attached the battery and drove off it auto locked haha, same story w...

By center console do you mean around the handbrake or MFD,climate and Radio If yoiu mean around the handbrake then yes but the cigarette lighter (orange bit) is broked, And the MFD has gone,
