Had the clutch changed 2 mths ago in our 2.2 sri estate (release bearing had colapsed) local garage obtained clutch kit from LDS factors @£150 charged £180 to fit so total cost was £330 in total . This may be the straw that broke the camels back Its a great car to drive ,quick,handels well,and great to drive, but being a 2.2 sri, The parts are horendous prices compared to a 2.0 406. Clutch change time?

Noisey release bearing and getting louder so time to change the clutch, anything to watch out for, will the box come straight out or are there silly things in the way (like a subframe etc) The car is a 2.2 16v sri petrol estate.

Has someone pinched my fuel filter

:cry: Following the suggestion to change the fuel filter on my 2.2 sri petrol estate (51 plate) i have bought a new fuel filter and went to fit it looked in front of the drivers side rear wheel and there are petrol pipes there but no filter, is it placed somewhere else?

i have taken a fault code reading with my cheap code reader and come up with 2 codes 1112 and 1152 Do these mean anything to any body? Many thanks for all the sugestions so far. Will be putting new exhaust on wed and change fuel filter at the same time.

Answer to this one is it is a LEDBURY maestro these were built for a few years after production ended . The other pointer to this is the reg no vj and cj are herefordshire plates and ledbury is in Herefordshire.

The original manufacter for the 2.2 exhaust is walker exhausts any walker distributer can supply it (euro car parts £96 + vat next day delivery) It took me a lot of digging to find this out as no exhaust supplier list it . There is another manufacturer working on a replacement which will be cheaper ...

I have just been through this nightmare with my 2.2 sri petrol est. No exhaust maker list it. However my friendly local exhaust supplier did some digging and found out the oe exhaust is made by walkers exhausts and any walker distributer should be able to supply it. I does feel fuel related . My wife tells me it did it once a week ago but restarted straight away and did not reoccur ,but yesterday it gave all the problems,and got worse and worse. I will change the fuel filter but was just wondering if the fuel pump could be playing up (is it a common problem) as...
