Front Drivers window playing up
Hello everyone... I've got a D8 STDT... Over the weekend the car was turned off while the window was going up, since then i've got the following problems with it: 1) Auto down doesn't work 2) Auto up doesn't work 3) Pressing the up button moves the window up a about 10cm, and you have to constantly ...

Top Engine Mount
Hi guys, My top engine mount has decided to go pop and I need to replace it... Peugeot NZ quoted me $260 nod for the mount... No I didn't buy it... I've heard mixed comments about some aftermarket mounts where some sag once the engine weight is put on it and some fatigue quickly. I'm wondering if an...

Re: ABS - Is it possible to make it less sensitive?
The 406 isn't really all that heavy it's the same as a 307... But yeah, i'll have a look at the abs rings as it seams to have gotten worse this winter. I'm not actually putting that much pressure on the pedal, thats the biggest problem i'm having. I'm putting less pressure on the pedal to stop the 4...

Re: Ratchet Spanners
I've got the gearwrench set and they are awesome when working on the 205...
The set i've got has the switch for direction on the i think it's 12 or 13 and larger sized ones and you have to turn around the smaller ones to get the correct direction, which if your not paying attention can be a pain.

Re: ABS - Is it possible to make it less sensitive?
I'll have a look at the rings later...
Yeah the tyres are cheapies, but i can't justify spending money on decent tyres for my 1.9td slug. I'd rather spend the money on the 205.

ABS - Is it possible to make it less sensitive?
I've got a problem where i have decent pads on the car, and now in the wet the abs is constantly kicking in when i brake on anything remotely considered slippery... i.e. painted lines, metal joining plates, etc...
It's frustrating and dangerous. Can you desensitize the abs system or disable it?

A/C - Working then not working then working
Hello boys and girls of the 406 Owners Club for the UK and beyond! My A/C is playing up, without doing any diagnostic work yet - i'll ask the question as to what might be causing this in my D8 STDT With the air con button on (green light showing) the a/c will work intermittently - we can be driving ...
