rac man has come to look at it, and has found out the battery was low on power..... apparently its drawing 2 amps when the cars off? any idea what this would be? he did eventually manage to get it started anyway.

how do i get to the wiring around the barrel? what do i look for and how would i know if it was ok?

No the key dosent work by remote, but having said that couple hours earlier when i hooked the battery back up it worked by remote fine as it turned off the alarm and started car straight away. Problem seems to be intermittant? ive changed the key battery itself so i can rule that out, im not sure of...

Hi, My 2002 406 estate decided to sound its alarm the other nite for no apparent reason and was immobilised, eventually had to disconnect the battery as it was late at nite and the keyfob wouldnt tell it to turn off. Any way the next day i bought a new battery for the keyfob, put the battery back on...

Yes i replaced the original complete cig lighter with a new universal one, that kept blowing the fuse, and completely destroyed my tomtom charger, so i thought ok looked at the packet and it said made in china, so i thought perhaps its made for a certain current or sumthin, so took that one out and ...

HI,
My cigarette lighter keeps blowing its fuse? i have tried a replacement whole thing including the holder etc, tried to plug in my charger and other things and it blows the fuse instantly?
anybody got any ideas as to why?

yea now you say it i guess it is possible the pump could be on its way out.
It was the fuel pressure regulator i replaced so im guessing it is ok.

also dont know if its worth mentioning but sometimes the faults go away then other times they reappear, but if you boot the car it goes into limp mode, but is perfectly fine driving under 60 odd below 3000rpm

Hmm.... Sounds like its possibly a few things then? sounds expensive too! haha. Ive had the regulator replaced just b4 xmas so hopefully it shouldnt be that ? im reli hoping its not the pump itself. What would i need to ask the garage to check? do u think sum of these faults are caused by something ...

Yer it is! By the way i got the codes read today, i started a new thread on them. Basically it came up as Fuel pressure low Fuel pressure regulator fault oxygen sensor fault. i just wondered tho if the o2 sensor was faulty wud that bring up the other 2 faults with the fuel as it goes into limp mode ...
