Thanks for you replies guys!! It was an air lock in the fuel rail, took a while to clear it but managed to, thanks!! Afterwards I hooked up the fault reader and cleared the codes, one didn't clear ... guess what ... it was the (new) fuel sensor!!! I'm not sure what to do next to try to clear ...

Help needed – Fuel sensor
Help needed. Yesterday I managed to get to look at my fuel pressure sensor, took it off and cleaned it (the end and the connectors), fitted it (which was a pain in the arse) then jumped in the car to try to start it but nothing. I can hear the car trying to start but it just won’t fire up. Looked un...

Re: Fault Code List - Please help
Thats a good start, thanks. Has anyone on here ever solved the Glow Plug problem? Well I haven't run out of fuel before, maybe the previous owner did ... not really sure. I've read on the that if I were to disconnect the sensor the car should run rough or if theres no change it's a doggey sensor? Is...

Re: Fault Code List - Please help
Sorry also in addition I had a strange fault code P00CC which was unknown.
I have just goggled it and apparently it translates into P0204 Injector Circuit Malfunction - Cylinder 4.
Would anyone suggest a leak off test or something else that may help diagnose these errors.

Drivers door 1999 406hdi Saloon
Hi, really strange question but do you know if the rear drivers lock (not barrel) will fit my driver’s door? I've been comparing it against others and they seem identical? I will investigate but the door unlocks on passenger side and another symptom is the door handle doesn’t open the door  ??...

Re: Urgent advice needed on my clutch
Quick update time, Well tried bleeding it again with the master cylinder in the air, no difference so I'm guessing there’s no air in it. :( Been to two more garages to confirm it is the clutch and the prices seems to vary from place to place from £300 - £700. :? All the garages look to see how many ...

Re: Urgent advice needed on my clutch
Thanks mate. Well just been to the garage about it (as I ran out of ideas) and they jumped in and said .... "you need a new clutch" ... and proceed to tell me that it will cost £690. Would it be a job I could do over the weekend? Would I need to replace the flywheel as well? What have other people p...
