Ok, I put that solenoid in. It hasn't fixed it. Its grand driving around the town all week, but as soon as I hit the motorway it goes into limp again and the engine light back on.

Anybody got ideas?

At idle yes the revs should drop. I'd get it pressure tested for starters...

I just bought a new solenoid today. €55 out of Peugeot here is Ireland. Hope it fixws the boost problem

They were swapped last week when a new MAF was fitted. Does a vacume test tell if the turbo is ok??

So how much are the two solenoids and the small Denso one?

Ok forget about the remap, my limp mode is back and a light on the dash. I thought a new MAF cured it. I wonder if it it the electro valves as above?? or worse the turbo? My hdi went into limp mode on the motorway. I have full Vag-com from my previous VAGS and it can communicate via OBD. It turned out to be the air flow meter. Its boosting now. Its a slow car but i don't know if the one of the soleniods is gone.

So people just put springs in instead?

Cheers lads. I think i'll get it done soon. Can the clutch be adjusted on these? Its a very late clutch.

Can people give me there ideas on nice 18's for a 406 and do people lower them on coilovers or just a spring set up? My car is in members cars.

Why did you scrap it?

Cheers Gary. I actually bought that spoiler for him years ago. I'm not sure if that spoiler is the same on the 1st version of 406. Maybe there was a different one on the 2nd version 406
