Chaps,
I've been advised that it's the fuel pump relay causing the issue??
I'm sceptical due to it not cutting out while driving and it starting again fine when warm? I plus been told it's an expensive fix?
Is the garage correct?
Thanks
Austin

1.9 td Starting Problems
Hi All, beginning of this week the car was getting hard to start from cold so I booked it into local garage who confirmed new glow plugs were required and changed all 4, the following morning it was worse  and would not start at all (kept turning over) so got AA to start me and drove straight ...

Re: Has the Mechanic fitted the wrong shocks?
Ok, I'm going to get this sorted it's doing my head in, feels like a sports car suspension so it must be the wrong parts. Will be getting on to the mechanic ASAP.
Thanks

Has the Mechanic fitted the wrong shocks?
Hi all, Peugeot 406 1.9td. Strange question, but one I need to satisfy my curiosity with:- Last week I had my front shock absorbers changed at a local garage, a few thousand miles ago when I had the car. The suspension was always very forgiving and smooth over bumps. Now with the new ones fitted it ...

Slimline Dishwasher into 406 saloon?
Hi all,
Due to pick a second hand slimline dishwasher on Saturday, any chance it's likely to fit either in the boot or on the back seats?
Size is h85 w45 d58
Wondering if anyone else on here has tried anything similar?
Thanks

1.9td Aux belts
Hi all, I have noticed on starting the car from cold I had a clicking sound with every revolution of the engine which goes away when the cars warm. I had a look under the bonnet and it looks as though the belt on the left hand side of the engine have moved slightly over to the right on the pulley wh...

Re: 1.9td 1996 Climate Control
I had a quick look and I can see the fan spinning using the light from my phone, so at least thats working, I tried carefully pulling the console out and broke one of the clips  due to how brittle they have become. although ones not too bad, I'm dubious about going any further, what I may do is...

1.9td 1996 Climate Control
Has anybody found with these that the climate control takes a while from when you start the key to actually cooling quickly or heating? For example, outside temperature 25 degrees climate set at 21 degrees, you start the engine and get cool air, but only very slowly, it takes until the car reaches 7...

Looks like it's leaking fluid from a cyclinder at the back, spoke to a garage, just waiting to hear on a part price.

Re: Handbrake Light on a D8
Thanks Highlander, When I had a Nissan Primera, The brake fluid level was also tied in to the handbrake light however the light would always work when i engaged the handbrake leading me to *believe* that its the handbrake sensor at fault on the peugeot because it's not always working when I engage t...
