Car collected tonight, so here ends my association with the lion brand.

However, the wife has a car from it's stablemate with the HDi engine in it, so I haven't cut my ties totally with the company. What I personally have done is move across France to the other manufacturer, and so far so good.

Sorry, it's now sold to a guy from the Stoke area, who is collecting it a week Saturday.

The cutting out issues are now sorted, but I couldn't tell you what was wrong, as it seems to have repaired itself and hasn't done it since.

Now reduced to £600.

If you mean the cambelt as opposed to the cam, then it was done at 72k and then again at 120k.

Just had the rear drop links replaced on my 406 HDi, but there is still a rattling/banging noise coming from the rear when going over bumps, and there is a slight vibration at +60mph, what are the possible causes?

Well without trying to tempt fate, the light has now stayed off on mine since I last posted, and I've revved it up to 3000 rpm a couple of times.

I've no doubt that the code is stored in the ecu though, awaiting it's return at some point.
