I collected my 406 yesterday afternoon. The dealer replaced both outer CV joints as he was unable to obtain the ABS rings alone. I have now driven the 406 for 70 miles and the brakes seem to be fine. I now have to begin the re-bonding process with my Peugeot, just hope that I succeed!!!. Many thanks...

Well I have to admit that this loan Focus is so different to the Focus diesel that I owned. Had my Focus have driven like this one, I would still have owned it and been a whole lot better off. No, it's actually a "W" reg. I don't know why, but it feels a whole lot better than the 52 reg diesel Focus that I had last year.

I hate to admit that it's a Ford Focus H/B. So easy to park,get in and out of and it hasn't got climate control but it does have air-con. Hope that I won't be banned for this!!!!

Just received a phone call from the dealer, he said that ABS rings are "fractured" both sides, so with a bit of luck I should get it back tomorrow !. Hope it cures it.

Hello again, thanks for the answers so far. I have booked it in for Thursday morning and hope that it can be sorted. One problem with it, is that it is an intermittent problem and I just hope that it plays up for the mechanics on the day.
