Re: Where to buy replacement keys?
When I tried to replace my remote control key for my 2000 HDi Peugeot told me the part is obsolete…but they can get the blades and cut them from your id card number.

Re: 2.0 HDI 110 poor starting hot and cold

When I turn on the ignition I can hear the pump running for 6 seconds or so…quite a winey noise…but yesterday when I tried to start the car it wouldn’t start first time. Cranked for 5 seconds nothing…but heard a bleep sound ?..second time fir...

Left or right ?
Hello all….I`m just about to order a diif/gearbox oil seal for my 2000 HDi 110. It’s the driver’s side seal…just pushes in…but when looking to order I have to choose left or right side. This depends on which way round I’m looking at the gearbox…any help would be appreciated.

Re: Sinking brake pedal, not master cylinder
It may be a good idea to try the brakes at a MOT centre. If the brake readings on each axle are similar then that may point to a fault elsewhere.

Re: key fob p.c.b
My car is a 2000 HDi 406. I recently brought a new key and had it programmed by a Peugeot dealer. They said that the key could be programmed to any car as long as the chip and the P C board were the original pair. I think the key on my car was only used for a short time as others I have seen are dif...

Re: Sinking brake pedal, not master cylinder
In my case the pedal was solid with no servo assistance….this was due to the fact that without assistance there was not enough pressure to bend the calliper. With the extra pressure available from the servo the calliper bent to one side and that accounted for the extra travel.

Re: Sinking brake pedal, not master cylinder
If one of the calliper slides has seized when you apply the brakes the calliper tends to bend toward the free side…..when you take the pressure off the brake pedal the calliper bends itself back ….and goes back just enough to cause extra travel on the brake pedal. It happened to me twice…both on Toy...

Re: Sinking brake pedal, not master cylinder
Hi…I’ve had a similar situation to this twice…although not on a Peugeot. On each brake calliper there are 2 sliders that allow the brakes to adjust as the piston pushes….well if one of those sliders stick (and they do) the calliper will push out at an angle and the effect is the brake peddle travel ...

Re: Crankshaft pulley
One more thing worth a mention….I had been aware of a slight vibration coming from the engine…almost like a slight misfire…this has also gone now.

Re: Crankshaft pulley
I replaced the pulley yesterday and it took about an hour to do. The pulley looked ok but if I dropped it onto hard ground I could hear it rattle. The replacement was £65 from Europarts. This pulley had been going for some time and many of the noises which have now gone made me think other parts whe...

Crankshaft pulley
I think the crankshaft pulley on my 2.0HDi is faulty due to the noise coming from that area...if I take the drive belt off would I be able to feel any play in the pulley?
