Re: electrical i think
I know i only paid £425 for it, But the scrap metal merchant has just told me they will give me £150 for it which i don't think is too bad, It also means the car is going to be cubed so the scrap yards that only wanted to give £70 for it won't be making a profit on the bits

Re: electrical i think
I have just been out with the meter again. I have a resistance of 2k between either negative on battery or engine block to the outer casing of the ECU, Is this correct? there is continuity between the negative battery terminal and anywhere else on the body so i assume the earth from the battery is o...

Re: electrical i think
I have metered for continuity between the negative battery terminal and the engine block which was ok but i must admit i haven't tried the others which i should really do as the wifes perodua suffered a similar problem years ago and that was down to the earth on the ECU.

Re: electrical i think
Thanks Steve for the help, I realise now that it is a fuel cut off Switch.
Fuel is getting through but according to the rac man there is nothing coming out of the coil but there is power getting in.
Anyone in the Forest of Dean area willing to take a look?
regards pete
