I know this is an age old thread but are there any updates? I'm in the process of buying a very tidy 406 2.1 td and which to undertake a Bosch conversion, the mechanical work I can do, it just the issue of the tacho not working above 3k rpm that I would need an answer to... had a look on ebay for on...

2.2 HDi injector upgrades
Hi there to all,
Is there anywhere of getting injector upgrades for the 2.2hdi as I intend to squeeze some more power/torque out of mine

The EGR is found in the Exhaust manifold chap,
but you can just disconnect the plug from the solenoid, look behind the battery in the engine bay and you will see a green connector, unplug it and leave it, then the EGR will stay closed all the time
