The thing with me is i used to be a fitter (not shitfit or any of the other big rip off centres) about 8 years ago and i hate paying for labour on a job when ive got half an idea how to do it myself.

Ive had a mess about with it and gave the stepper motor and the inlet throttle linkage a good a old clean and spay of wd40 (only took me 10mins) and bingo- a warm idle of about 950rpm

Can any of you guys and gals out there tell me how to turn the tick over down on my 98pug 406? The motor runs well with no other problems but the tick over. from cold it sits at at around 1400 rpm and when hot it only drops to 1100rpm.
ive just bought a R plate 406, but it has no key pad immobiliser, the drop down flap is there but it is empty except for a block connector. the car starts and runs ok but should it have a key pad, or did they stop fitting them in97/98? or has someone had there fingers in and taken it out?
