Hi Guys,
Hope my old 406 is still going strong.
Just tidying up & found a pair of front strut top bearings, no use to me now.
'SASIC' 0355325 x2, £15 posted for the pair if anyone wants them.
Cheers, Steve,

Hi there,
I'll get some more pics up but the interior is all as it should be.
I'm not sure what the comm unit is? so it must be good.
Steve.

HDi 90 'S' Estate For Sale
Hi Guys, Following bereavement I find myself with too many cars so one has to go. 2004 Hdi 90 'S', one of the last so nice spec. 121'000 miles, a friend was the first owner & I am the second owner. I've had it since 2010, 60'000 miles so all history known from new. Dealer serviced up to my ownership...

Re: Siemens HDi bubbles & hard starting......
Hi Guys, Thanks for the responses, I guess I don't want to introduce any furtter problems, thanks Doggy. I've been giving the bulb a pump before starting in the last few days, still took 12 cranks to start when the temperatures were just around zero. Trouble is the battery struggles (new Bosch last ...

Siemens HDi bubbles & hard starting......
Old topic really which keeps popping up, in my case it's hard starting in the cold last week, crank crank crank...... I think it may be down to fuel pressure at the Low/high pressure pump (no pump in the tank in these), always air in the system inlet now matter how much you pump the primer bulb. I'v...

Re: Another year, another MOT
Thanks for the tips & complements guys. I seem to remember squirting oil around the bonnet & tailgate edges when I first had the car, it was a well known trap then, so I've just done it again! I need to investigate the sills, thinking along the lines of squirting something oily / misty in. Has anyon...

Another year, another MOT
Hi Guys, I rarely post nowadays as my car is just so damn reliable (should I have said that???). Any ways it's on 114'000 and just flew thro' another MOT. The tester commented on what a nice old car it is, will it be a classic soon? This got me thinking, as mine is one of the youngest on here & so f...

Re: hdi90 clutch woes!!!!
Hi Guys, Are all 406 HDi clutches the same? Euro Car Parts are knocking the LUK 3 part out for £86 delivered at the mo. I will need one soon, but intend to set aside a couple of days in decent weather to get it done. Dont' want to order it & then find out it's the wrong part in 6 weeks time..... :ro...

Re: Bearing hum from rear?
Well what can I say?
Thank you Doggy
Removed the O/S rear 'Sunny' tyre (24'000 miles 3-4mm tread, Chinese crap), fitted old worn Pirelli 6000 spare, no more hum!
Pair of new tyres for the rear methinks

Bearing hum from rear?
Hi Guys, Coming up to 106'000 and my faultless 406 est has a fault! This has been developing for a while, and is getting worse (over the last 10'000 or so). A resonating hum from the rear, possibly offside, which starts about 45mph, hits a resonant 'hmmmm' peak at 54mph & then sinks into the backgro...
