Thanks for the info but how does the belt come off, I can't see how to loosen it, is there a pre tensioner somewhere

Power Steering Pump
Hi - Does anybody know how to remove a power steering pump on a 2002 HDI estate. The bearing is noisy when at idle but fine when driving, I have stuck some grease and wd40 in it when makes it a little quieter for a time. I want to replace it but I can't figure out how to remove it. Thanks in advance...

FIXED!!!!!!!!!!!
Interesting issue. Turns out that the fuse that feeds the bsi was missing and there was another fuse in the incorrect position.

Update
The bsi unit has been returned from BBA reman with no fault found. I have gone through all earth connectors I could find. Nothing.
I disconnected the wiring drivers side still no luck.
Anyway the Auto electrian is coming out Friday.
I will update if he finds the fault.

I have checked all connections and they are fine. I have spoken to a auto electrician and he has suggested that there might be a short in the drivers door or the alternator is spiking out 16V on startup. Failing this it is more than likely to be the bsi unit. I will post again once I have investigat...

Update - Thanks for the link and everbodys help. I have taken a look at the connectors in the drivers footwell and they seemed ok, there was no wet and no corrosion. I have also removed the bsi unit and reseated all the connectors, but no luck. What is another wierd thing when the ignition is swiche...
