Towbar electrics fitting
I have just fitted a towbar, that was given to us, onto our 97 Estate. I just need to do the electrics now. From what I can gather, the connections into the loom are done behind the right rear light cluster but how do I get the cable into there? Is there a convenient hole to route the cable through ...

Re: 406 tow bar cage nuts
Had to track down the correct type in the end. They slide into place through the rectangular hole and then clip into place. You need 4 of them. If you need cage nuts for the two fixings in the rear valance area, as opposed to the chassis rails, then these will be M12, not M10. On our estate there we...

Re: 406 tow bar cage nuts
The thickness of the metal, because cage nuts work across a range of panel thickness. For M10 cage nuts (as used in the rails to fit the towbar) the ranges are 1.0-1.7mm, 1.8-3.2, 3.3-4.7 and 4.8-6.2mm. Update: Just tried to measure but more than a tad tricky. However it looks like somewhere around ...

Re: 406 tow bar cage nuts
I'm in the same position. I can source standard cage nuts but don't know how thick the chassis rails are, where the cage nuts are fitted, and haven't had the chance to attampt to measure it. Does anyone know how thick the rails are? Once I know, I can get the cage nuts and will post the supplier det...

Re: speedo rev counter and fuel gauges
We have a similar problem on our 1997 LX Estate with the 2.1TD engine. Tacho sometimes works correctly then other times it goes to 1800 rpm when ignition on and drops when engine revs build up. Speedo sometimes sticks. Had the problem before then changed the instrument cluster and the problems went ...

Re: 2.1 TD cuts out and/or over revs
I found the Peugeot part number (1920 3W) but does anyone know the Lucas part number for the Lucas EPIC pump?

Re: 2.1 TD cuts out and/or over revs
Thanks for the replies so far. I think the feedback sensor sounds more likely, as the engine always overrevs before cutting out, never just dying. I presume that a new sensor from Peugeot is not possible or economically viable. I'll look into that one and if anyone else has come across a similar pro...

2.1 TD cuts out and/or over revs
Hi, new to this forum and hoping someone can point us in the right direction for a problem we have on our 1997 estate with a 2.1TD engine. Sometimes when changing up the engine overrevs, which I think may be a sticky accelerator cable, but the issue that this seems to cause is the engine then cutout...
