Re: Rear wiper not working

Had similar on my 406 rapier estate.... wiper died at 2 o clock position and after testing for voltage, which I had, I left it for 5 months hoping I might drop by a scrapyard. I then heard that a solution for this is to spray penetrating oil down the wiper spindle and then turn on and push the wiper...

Re: Peugeot 406/407

Have enjoyed nearly 5 years of almost trouble free motoring in my 2002 406 Estate 110 HDI rapier, taking it from 120k to 170K, and I often wonder where I will go next.
Don't think a 407 is on the cards as I am looking to go smaller so does anyone have any views on the 307 estate

Re: Aerial base removal

Yep, there is a courtesy light, above where the rear passengers sit, but the aerial is mounted/ located on the roof just infront of the rear tailgate

Aerial base removal

Got dodgy FM reception on the Clarion in my 2002 rapier estate. Alot of posts suggest replacing the aerial and aerial base. The aerial is at the back of the roof on my car so no handy cortesy light hole in the headlining to allow access from underneath, so how do you remove a rear mounted aerial bas...

Door Membrane / seal

Upon invesitagating water ingress in my 2002 406 110 HDi estate I discovered that the door membrane/seal behind the door trim panel was completely missing.

Does anyone know the most cost effective way of obtaining a replacement & price, as a quick trawl of the web has n't turned up much.

Gearbox drainplug size

Read through a number of posts re changing gearbox oil For the gearbox drain plug what sized socket / spanner is needed to remove it as I don't want to get underneath and find I have n't got the right tool ? Previous posts mention a square plug for the middle but I think a socket will go over the ou...

Metal specks in Fuel filter housing

Changed to fuel filter on my 2002 110 HDI estate the other day. Had n't been done for 24,000 so it came out black but what I did notice at the bottom of the plastic fuel filter housing near the drain hole was silvery metal specks / particles. Anyone know what causes this, what other symptoms this ma...

Air Filter confusion

Replaced my air filter on my 2002 HDI 110 estate with a Fram CA5111. The car had a Fram CA5715 (which has the grey foam base attached to it) fitted when I brought the car so I am wondering what difference the foam base makes On further investigation the Fram on line catalogue states in CA5111 for Pe...
