Just cought up on this thread and you have made a few errors, In the picture you posted of the fuel lines they are right, the 406 pump is not good for this convertion (I know I tried this in the past and you will never get the timming right), too much electronic stuff, swap it for one from a 405/ea...

well...ive now turned the pumps pulley round by 10 teeth instead of bending the lines for the 3rd time. and now i have the same problem as before...in that it is only fireing on cyclinder no.1, so i check the plugs and 3 out of 4 dont work. which means i didnt even need to change the pump in the fir...

does the key on the pumps shaft always point to the injector its suppling fuel to at that time??

ive got bosch injectors in now, ive also rebent all the fuel lines back to their original positions because the pump puts the fuel out of the same point as the lucas one, if that makes sense? so the pulley key is pointing at the same injector when in its locked position(the same as the lucas pump)!!...

the solenoid is now working! the two wires coming from the solenoid (one black one green) are both live! and i'd wired up the black to earth, so effectivley shorting the circuit :oops: ive now blanked off the black and wired the other live to live on ignition. now ive just gotta wait for the battery...

is the solenoid the one circled in blue or red? ive wired up the blue one and earthed it through the pump, but still no fuel. also the part ive circled in orange, does anything connect up to that? thanks

hi, ive tried turning it over with fuel lines not connected and there is no fuel coming out at all. do i need to look at the fuel solenoid then? im not sure what that does.

ive just loosened off the fuel lines and diesel came out under pressure, so i assume its getting to the injectors?

well its all fitted now, its not starting at all. even tried towing it. where shall i start back from? fuel lines? i knew it would take the piss
