Hi everyone, Car is an estate 2.0HDI 110BHP, year 2000....Had this issue for a while now and cant find what is wrong..... some days on startup the car runs reasonably fine, other days its awful, driving down the road it feels like the car is really holding back and i notice that the turbo doesnt kic...

Hi Dirtydiesel,
Thanks for the help...yes I know the items you mention...drivers side just below the windscreen on the bulkhead under the bonnet. I will try the method you suggest

Hello fellow 406ers I have a 406 estate 2.0HDI YR2000 and have had a speedo problem a while now......usually not long after startup and driving away the speedo needle drops to zero and the car noticably loses some power , its still drives ok but the speedo can take 5 -10mins driving before it comes ...

HI there I was wondering if anyone can help please, I have a 406 2.0HDI on a 'W' plate (2000). It seems to have developed a fault in that the Engine Management light came on so I read the code....It said 'Turbo / Supercharger Wastegate Solenoid A' Does anyone know anything about these things because...

Hi again......mine shows a noticeable drop in power when speedo stops working......somebody mentioned to reset the BSI.....anyone know if that might help??

Hi everyone.....Does anyone know of a good place to get Rear Shock absorbers for my 406 2.0 Hdi 110 estate please?
There are so many different prices out there but I dont want to splash out and be ripped off if anyone knows somewhere to go.!

Hi again thanks for that guys...I have recently had to have the ecu sorted as I had a problem there...the people who fix them told me they had disabled the immobiliser as this causes problems with starting alot on the 406. Hi Steve...nice one ....yes I will remember that for next time...in fact I have to replace the reluctor rings on my drive shafts as theyre about had it! The ABS cuts in almost all the time now because they are so badly corroded and worn away. I saw some on Ebay but there seems to be different spigot...
