You can remove lower mount in situ without driveshaft removal but its very difficult it may be worth looking at the powerflex mounts that are made for the 306 as I read they fit the 307 so I'm guessing should fit the 406

It has a greasy feel but is clear and has not odour or not much of an odour if its diesel can that lose it odour im kinda hoping its ac but I don't use it at the moment have deliberately avoided it for 2+ weeks to try and find the problem its definitely not coolant that never goes down and I dive 10...

odourless fluid under drivers side

Hi all I'm getting an oily odourless fluid under the drivers side of the car I thought it was the air con but haven't had it on for days and I'm not losing coolant any ideas its a 2.0 hdi 90

Took both old and new stats and the old one only opens 1mm but the new one opens at least 3mm

The top hose is hot and the bottom is a bit cooler is that normal theyre not hard just firm with the expansion

New stat higher temp but why??

Hi all my hdi 90 has always run at around 80c for years anyway yesterday temp started jumping up and down indicating a new sensor was required, anyway i decided to change the stat and sensor but temp is now 85c but why if it was the sensor shouldn't this have happened when i got the car years ago

To be honest ive never been bothered before but wasnt sure as some people say that it can damage the ABS unit just wondered if this is true or just people being over cautious

Should i open bleed nipple whenpushing piston back on calipe

Ive been reading lately that on some cars you should open the bleed nipple when retracting the caliper piston to avoid damage to the ABS unit is this necessary is it it advised that i do this

Its a 2.0 hdi 90 but also made that noise before i changed everything :-(

New aux tensioner still bouncing

Hi alll

I recently replaced crankshaft pulley idle pulley and tensioner for the aux belt and for a short while tensioner stopped bouncing but its started again could it be something else like the a/c compressor or clutch pulley on the alternator causing it.

COM2000 Indicator DIY repair can it be done

Hi all i have the typical floppy indicator issue, first off does anyone know what causes this. And secondly how and can it be fixed. If not is there anyone local to deeping / peterborough that can repair them.

Well decided to buy a 2nd hand alternator for £20 but still have a wine though i did take of the pulley beneath the alternator and that seemed a bit rough so am thinking it may now be that but cannot believe how expensive they are, at least thats pretty easy to change

Well it was the old filter i put back as wasnt doing an oil change i just drained it and put it in a bag till finished, do you think i should get a new filter
