Tappety noise
Thanks for replies - cured the problem - It was due to the fact the coils where not bolted in tightly on the rear 3 spark plugs and the bolts where rattling about - Don't ya just love a cheap fix. To think I was considering leaving it in with Peugeot dealer

V6 Tappety Knock Knock - Timing?
my 2001 3.0 V6 Coupe has developed a rather metallic tapetty noise very evident (to me) at idle. The timing belt was changed relatively recently - within last few months and I dont recall this noise before that. The noise definitely appears to be engine related but what is it likely to be? A. Timing...

two months seems surprising quick in my view - I waited over two years for one claim to get settled even though the 3rd party admitted fault at the time to the police. Best you can do is harass your insurance company to chase the incident and sit and wait. With evidence in your favour you will win i...

My 406 V6 Auto Estate was both smooth and powerful (4 speed with winter and sport settings). It was wonderful in slow moving traffic. I had no problems with it and covered almost 110,000 miles before I sold it - but a few months after this the buyer said the gearbox had developed a problem and wasnt...

I sourced a diagnostic interace thingy off ebay which now plugs into a PC in my garage (the PC only cost £25 as well) Havent had any faults to diagnose yet but seems to work a treat. It plugs into the USB port and runs with diagnostic software also sourced from ebay. The expense of this covers the c...

I have the disk driver - cdrom - cdrom driver - gps aerial - bracket - display unit - remote control -some of the loom is already there (if not all) and working on the rest. If it never happens I don't mind as I have picked parts up cheap enough so far. Just need to see what else is already there an...

Sat Nav Route Finder?
Can anyone help me locate where these parts of the Peugeot Sat Nav should be fitted (items ringed in red) to a 2001 Coupé.
First attempt at inserting an image - hope it works (if not, it is in the album as "Sat Nav".)

Turning Down the Volume?
I have just fitted a Clarion CD Head Unit to my D9 (a standard peugeot one). It sounds awesome - especially with the JBL system - BUT - even with the volume at level 1 (with the LOUD off) it is still a bit too loud for my delicate ears. Is there any way of adjusting the minimum volume so it is lower...

The Folly of installing Peugeot Sat Nav
Given that is has been unanimously agreed that installing the Peugeot Sat Nav system is a sheer act of folly - supposing someone was going to do this - and had already sourced many of the parts, will it actually work?
I am just asking for a friend - obviously not me doing it
