any ideas on how to get rid of it? ive tried doing again but it stays the the same.

only purchased the car 2 weeks ago,so i couldnt say.

it could be that im not use to it.

suppose i will find out one day when i try and pull away and it just sits there.

what i wanted to know was, does it tend to go straight away or will it slip for a while?

thanks for info, will take a look,at the green manual.
if it covers the HDi engine then great.

in my original post i stated the HPi engine, which is incorrect (sorry guys).
got a bit mixed up when i saw it on the Haynes website.

Haynes Manuals

Hi to all

Have just joined your group, having just brought my 406.
Does anyone know if you can get a service manual, the Haynes one is available i know,
but it does not cover the HPi diesel engine (that what it says in its website).

so any ideas?

any info would be great.
