Hi Neil Sounds like it's your BSI. I have exactly the same fault on my 01 HDi 90. Basically the problem is that the BSi unit is not detecting the wiper park switch. The wipers will run for about ten seconds and then 'time out' and stop. I doubt it's your stalk, however you can check it buy seeing if...

The Bsi unit can be found under the dash, below the fusebox by your right knee. I know beacuse I have a fault with my wipers. HDi Glowplug dash light.
just a quick one I have a 2001 HDi 90. It's says in the book that the glowplug light should come on with the ignition when the engine is cold. However my light has never worked since I bought the car. I have checked the bulb which is ok. Should this work on HDi's? Possible causes? Many Thanks Julian

Just a quick update on the electrical issues for your information. 1) Wipers The wipers still do not park and i have traced this back to a duff BSi unit. Quotes for a replacement one have come in at between £250-£350 fully programmed. However I found a company in kent (bba-reman) that will repair my...

Newbie, new car - Electrical issues
Hello guys and congratulations on a great site. I am a great fan of 406s’ having driven one across France on business a few years ago. 8) I have recently bought a 2001 2.0 HDi 90 with 117,000 miles on the clock for my daily 60 mile commute to work and back. I got the car cheap as it has a few electr...
