I'd avoid something with 150k on the clock - even with a FSH.
Always liked the shape of the C5 and can be bought in identical spec with the floaty suspension!

Re: Viewing 2nd hand cars - the Camera does lie....
I know exactly the feeling. Just sold my Megane 250 for something cheaper... Cars not described correctly in ads - "Full service history" but when you get there it's patchy at best. Also, maybe i'm skewed but my definition of "great condition" doesn't reflect that of half the sellers out there... En...

Re: Travelling in France and beyond beware
When I was in France last year - was so surprised to see how many old bangers are still on the roads. Even seeing 405s was a bit of a novelty as they all have seemed to have disappeared (even here in Australia)...

205s have the same level crash safety as a wheelbarrow. Avoid.

E36s are shite. Poorly built and most are fairly ropey these days. They do drive nicely!

I'll be in Deutschland at Xmas - Berlin und Leipzig. Trying to convince the Mrs that the Nurburgring is mandatory - but it seems as though I am not winning this battle.

Unfortunately, Holden are shutting local production in 2017 - so no more Commodores. They are going to keep the nameplate, but it is rumoured to be based on the next generation Insignia... The high AU dollar, fuel prices and GFC resulted in a perfect storm - sales tapered off as people didn't want f...

We should do a rental car review - Most recent ones have included: - Holden (Chevrolet) Cruze 1.4 Turbo - Toyota Camry - Holden Calais - Toyota Corolla All were rubbish, except for the Calais. 200kw of RWD awesomeness :D http://www.themotorreport.com.au/content/image/2/0/2014_holden_commodore_calais...

OooooooOOoOOOooooo - 800 Series Rover!
They were sold in limited numbers here - not very popular, as they were very very very expensive due to import duties back in the early 90's. Always had a hankering for a Vitesse fastback!

We have a 1.6 Duratec - It would be lucky to get 30mpg!
Sure is fun to drive. But compared to the Megane, it's a buzzbox.
