Can anyone tell where about the starter motor is on a V6. I just can't see it

Sorry no pictures as where it's difficult to get one worth posting. It's the connector that's actually on the motor. There must be a way in because you can buy the brushes to replace them.

It's not that I'm ungrateful for the help or trying to be awkward, but the motor is out and in my garage. As stated in the original post I need to take it apart.

My main problem with the Haynes manual for the 406 is I haven't bought one because it doesn't cover my car.

The wiring of any circuit is of a diameter to carry the current the circuit is designed to draw and only a little more. Example, Indicators draw only a small amount of current so the cableing will normally be about 22awg. Your starter motor will draw one hell of a lot more. Try using 22awg on that a...

Measure 1 and multiply by 5? why not just replace with the same size as is fitted (presumably blown) as long as it's the correct rating.

Just read this thread for the first time. Don't even think about putting in a higher rating fuse in. To do it safely you have to uprate the circuit wiring to match the new fuse.

Been looking for a while and found a few wiring diagrammes but to be honest they're all rubbish, even worse than Haynes. Anybody know of any that are usable?
