might sound silly but as the cables age they tend to stick in the casing at the wheels. spray lube into the casing when you adjust it and will loosen up bringing back the efficiency. did it with mine and went from 16% to 20%. just a thought. :? ps it helps to pull on the handbrake lightly when drivi...

gooooood news all. the pug is back on the road after the third attempt at mot lol. handbrake cable did not snap for some reason the captive nut came off the end of the left hand cable and the cable fell out. saved time on that one. two attempts at the brake pipes fixed the bit i could see but the te...

yeah i did think about an in car pc as would be easier to install if a bit more costly lol. still gotta deal with the mot though.
failed on the previous things then when fixed pull up today to have retest done and the handbrake cable snaps

he said it was the rear pipes going to the flex pipes so would assume they would just be the short ones from the load valve. got a kit and pipes on way so will have crack at making them up. just waiting for the parts to arrive now. hate waiting lol.

just a thought but could a bust driver control panel cause this. i have same trouble. pass window goes up on pass switch but not down and the driver switch for pass window does nothing at all. cant find any break in the wires either.

sorry guys looks like double din is on hold. she failed mot on front and rear links and two burst brake pipes.
so gotta sort that first.
might be a while due to funds but if and when i do it you will all be first to know.

hi all this has probably been asked before many times but is there a way of knowing which pads fit the front calipers without having to remove them and look. the car is on rear stands at mo waiting for links fitting. is there a cut off point when the shape of pads changed etc. mine is 2000 w reg 2.0...

hi all. have just failed mot as expected lol have been told both rear upper suspension arms have play in the ball joint. am i right in thinking that the upper arm is the metal one with bush at one end and ball joint at other. or is it the black ones with ball joint at both ends. help. need to order ...

depends on if it passes next mot. tight budget and all.
