To answer my own question, for those who may need to know in the future, i didnt fit the bypass relay and everything seems tickety boo!
btw: i dont have the bulb warning system on my 406!

I managed to get the cage nuts for free from a german manufacturer in the end, very helpful people. Some guy in northern ireland wanted to charge me 9 quid each for the captive nuts!
