Hangar's Tubby - RIP -

Just a couple of photos I found on my phone where I've modded the vents and door handles in the tubby... http://img853.imageshack.us/img853/2572/imag0439a.jpg Shot at 2012-04-14 http://img10.imageshack.us/img10/1796/imag0437b.jpg Shot at 2012-04-14 I will be repeating these mods in the 605 soon and ...

Re: A New Chapter

Shame about the tubby - particularly as you couldn't get it back as you could have at least progresses with your 405 turbo plan that you originally had. Good effort with the 605 though. What's it like? High mile banger or low mile potential classic? They're pretty rare now so if it's a good one, it...

A New Chapter

Farewell guys... I had a car crash in my 406 tubby. No injuries. Complete shame- the crash was mainly cosmetic but it did ruin the bumper and split the radiator along with a couple of other bits and pieces. It happened less than a week after I MOTed the car also. Just happens that where I crashed th...

Re: HimBigChief's 406 Breaking - Definately this time!

Chief... 1. By Twin exit stainless exhaust system- what does that entail exactly? And more importantly- is it going to fit onto a tubby? (If so I'm on my way!) 2. If the pads & discs are still there (not searched the topic for traces of this one) I'll take them from you! 3. The strut brace- I search...

Re: How long to get HDi up to temperature?

How long does it take for a HDi (90) to get up to temperature?! I drove 3 miles this morning before the temperature gauge got off the mark, and 5 miles before it got up to 70. Does this sound normal? Or could the thermostat be sticking open? My mate's 306 HDi would take at least 10 minutes to get r...

Re: 406 petrol turbo diagnostics

Tried to connect my PP2000 to a petrol turbo at the Gaydon meet, without success. That car had a 16-bin diagnostic connector by the passenger fusebox, so I only tried that. Didn't have enough time / info to determine if the diag port fuse had gone, (which is probably the most likely scenario). Don'...

Re: 405 to 406 Conversion

At the sides of the rear seats you should see the bolts comming through for the rear subframe. This could be the place to brace. Before you go too much further, have you checked the condition of the rear chassis legs? The rear chassis legs on mine visually looked ok, but turned out to be mostly rus...
